"We responded to a police incident in Vänersborg, and a man lost consciousness, was taken to hospital and was later pronounced dead," says Fredrik Svedemyr, press spokesperson for the police in the west.
A support case is when an authority, in this case the police, provides practical assistance to implement a decision or intervention that is the responsibility of another authority.
A report of misconduct has been filed, as is routine. The case is now being handled by Special Investigations.
