Recently, a dead person was found in the municipality who is believed to have been subjected to a crime.
The deceased has not yet been identified, as prosecutor Robert Beckard previously said to TTELA.
The suspected crime is believed to have been committed between September 1 and October 2 this year.
The man was arrested on probable cause suspected of murder, according to the Prosecutor's Office press service for TT. He was also arrested as suspected of a serious assault that is said to have taken place in the spring.
The suspected man has previously been convicted of a number of violent crimes, writes TTELA.
