A 53-year-old man is being prosecuted for murdering a woman, with whom he previously had a relationship, in Borlänge.
The 38-year-old woman was found dead in an apartment in central Borlänge on March 15. The man was arrested shortly thereafter in the vicinity.
According to the indictment, he killed the woman through strangulation. The man denies the crime.
The man has previously been convicted of violence against women and was investigated, according to Expressen, for aggravated assault of the murdered woman last year. The investigation was dropped due to lack of evidence.
