Man Charged with Murder of Gang Leader's Relative in Stockholm

A man in his 65s was shot dead with six shots in Husby last year. Now a 34-year-old man is being prosecuted for the murder.

It was at the end of January this year that the victim was murdered in a commercial premises in Husby in northern Stockholm. Police were right in the vicinity when the shots were fired, and the accused man was arrested just a few minutes later.

In connection with the intervention, the police were shot at by the suspected perpetrator and also shot back, but no one was injured.

According to information in several media, the victim is said to be related to a leading person in the criminal gang environment.

The man is also prosecuted for serious weapons offenses and attempted murder for the suspected shooting at the police. He is also prosecuted for minor narcotics offenses.
