In early May 2025, a couple in their 70s were found dead in their home.
According to district prosecutor Karin Nilsson, the now-indicted man forced his way into the couple's home by breaking a window.
The investigation shows they died from severe, repeated violence.
"It appears the act was impulsive and the victims were selected completely at random," Nilsson says in the press release.
The man has no connection to the couple and no motive has yet been established.
He has neither denied nor admitted any crime.
