A 23-year-old man is being prosecuted, suspected of having hired minors for a series of serious violent crimes in the Gothenburg area, reports Gothenburg-Posten.

According to the indictment, it concerns four attacks, including the attempted murder at Kungsmässan in October and a shooting at a car in Hisings Kärra later the same month.

In all cases, minors have been hired to commit the crimes. The 23-year-old is suspected of, among other things, attempted murder, incitement to attempted murder, and two cases of involving minors in criminal activity.

According to prosecutor Mats Ihlbom, the man is highly placed within a criminal network.

If he is not at the very top, then he is at least close. We believe that he has orchestrated many of the violent crimes that have occurred in the Gothenburg area, says Mats Ihlbom to GP.
