At 4 a.m., police were called to Lorensbergsgatan in Gothenburg after members of the public found a seriously injured man.
The man was taken to hospital but later died of his injuries, the police said on their website. Using surveillance footage, police located and arrested a man suspected of assaulting the victim. He has now been remanded in custody at Gothenburg District Court.
