He is suspected of aggravated sabotage of emergency services in connection with the riot that broke out in Sveaparken in Örebro and in several other places during Easter 2022.
This happened in response to far-right Danish politician Rasmus Paludan’s plans to burn the Quran.
The man was arrested on Saturday during a police check after being wanted since March 2024, police wrote on their website.
According to police, most evidence suggests that the man was abroad before his arrest.
Another 17 people have been arrested in absentia following the riots, according to police.
