The police were called shortly after 11 p.m. after people in the area heard someone shouting.
The people who were in the park heard someone calling for help and raised the alarm, says Tommy Bengtsson, duty officer at Police Region South.
When police arrived at the scene, they were able to arrest a man suspected of rape.
"We have a cordoned-off crime scene and are working on an investigation at the site. We have interviewed witnesses at the scene and are still working with the injured party, who will be taken to hospital," says Tommy Bengtsson.
The woman's condition is unclear.
