According to police, the alleged rape occurred outdoors.
A crime scene investigation will be conducted later in the day.
The male suspect, now in custody, is reported to have had no relationship with the woman.
She reportedly "did not suffer any obvious physical injuries as a result of the incident," the police write on their website.
