The police were called shortly after 2 p.m. on Thursday by a woman in her 50s who was found injured when police arrived at the scene.
A man in his 40s was found lifeless at the scene and taken to hospital, says Magnus Jansson Klarin, police spokesperson, to TT.
During the evening, the news came that the injured man had been pronounced dead in hospital.
The woman's injuries were not life-threatening.
A 55-year-old suspect, who was at the scene, was immediately arrested by police on suspicion of murder and assault.
