According to police, they were called to a residence in the city on Sunday night after a woman was injured in the head by a man at the address. The woman was taken to hospital.
He inflicted injuries to the woman's head with some kind of firearm, police spokesman Jakob Palmgren told Sydsvenskan.
The woman was able to speak after the incident, and Palmgren believes the shot likely did not hit any vital parts.
The suspected perpetrator had left the apartment but was arrested by a patrol shortly afterwards. The police knocked on the door and held interviews during the day.
