"Intensive investigative work is underway, and the police were able to arrest a 36-year-old man today who had been arrested in his absence yesterday on probable cause of murder," says Senior Prosecutor Rasmus Öman in a press release.
The shooting took place in Bagarmossen in southern Stockholm on Friday afternoon. The victim, a man in his 20s, was shot near a car in a residential area, according to the prosecutor. He later died.
By Saturday at the latest, the prosecutor must decide whether the man should be remanded in custody or released.
