A 42-year-old man has been detained on probable cause on suspicion of making unlawful threats against two ministers in the Swedish government.

The man was arrested by Säpo earlier this week. According to information provided to SVT, he is involved in the activist group Rojava Committees.

The 42-year-old is said to have posed in photos outside the ministers' residences that were later shared on social media. According to reports in several media outlets, he left a basket of apples with a portrait of Hitler outside one minister's home and a bloody doll outside another.

Prosecutor Carl Mellberg sought to detain the 42-year-old on one count of unlawful threats and one count of aggravated unlawful threats, but the district court ruled there were only grounds to detain him on one count of unlawful threats of ordinary severity.

The suspect denies the allegations.
