It was around noon on Thursday that police were called to an address in Karlskrona. A woman in her 50s was found badly stabbed outdoors. She was taken to hospital by ambulance, but her life could not be saved.
"It is a case of deadly violence with a knife. We are investigating the course of events," says prosecutor Anna Johansson Toresten, who does not want to go into further details.
A man was arrested at the scene and later taken into custody. According to the prosecutor, the man and the woman have "a connection to each other," but she would not specify what that connection is.
The man denies the crime.
His attitude towards the crime itself is that he denies the crime but that he has agreed to the prosecutor's request to keep him in custody, the man's lawyer Mats Lind tells Blekinge Läns Tidning.
