A 21-year-old man has been arrested after a shooting in a residential area of Malmö on Tuesday evening. Another 21-year-old man is being treated in hospital with serious injuries.

"These are not life-threatening injuries. He is still being treated in hospital, but his condition is considered stable," says Malmö Police press spokesperson Nils Norling.

A 55-year-old man was also hit by gunfire but suffered minor injuries. A third person in the home was not hit.

Alarms about explosions in the area came shortly after 8:30 p.m., and the man was later apprehended in a taxi.

Norling describes the home as a place where serious incidents have occurred before.

There has been at least one arson attack, and possible explosive devices have also been found in connection with this location.
