Man Arrested After Breaking Into Ambulance for Medication in Ystad

A man in Ystad is suspected of a number of crimes since he took himself into an ambulance, the police write on their website.

When the ambulance staff discovered the man, who is in his 40s, they pressed the assault alarm.

The man was out to steal medication, writes Ystads Allehanda.

Then he tries to leave the scene. When he is confronted by the staff, he uses violence, says Jakob Carlbo Gustafsson, duty investigation officer in Ystad, to the newspaper.

When the police arrived, the man was arrested. He is suspected of robbery, violence against an official, blue light sabotage and minor narcotics offense.

The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon.
