Malmö FF will face either Faroese Klaksvik or Differdange from Luxembourg in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.

Malmö will start at home on 23 or 24 July and the return leg will be played away on 30 or 31 July.

MFF, who are exempt from the first qualifying round, were seeded in the second round.

Malmö will find out which of the two teams awaits them after the first qualifying round, which takes place on 9/10 July and 16/17 July.

If Malmö are to reach the main tournament, the team needs to get through a total of three qualifying rounds. Both the third qualifying round and the decisive play-off round will take place in August.

The last time MFF reached the main tournament was in autumn 2021.

The Champions League format is being revamped this season and is expanding from 32 to 36 teams in the main tournament.

Instead of eight groups of four, a single table will be used.

In total, each team will play eight matches against eight different opponents, four at home and four away, in the new group stage.
