The newspaper has previously revealed that the leaders received salaries in the millions from a non-profit organization that was 99.9 percent grant-funded.

According to the review, the association has received more than 130 million kronor in grants from the city of Malmö and other authorities for crime prevention work among children and young people. In addition to salaries, the leaders received a "commission" when grant applications were approved.

They are being held in custody on suspicion of a wide range of financial crimes during the years 2020-2025. Both deny any wrongdoing.
