2–2 after 90 minutes plus extra time meant extension between Malmö and Göteborg.
Then substitute Oliver Berg stepped forward and decided the match in MFF's favor in the 112th minute.
"Strange match
The joy among the sky blues was palpable, and several of the home team's substitutes ran straight across the pitch to celebrate with Berg and the other teammates.
Malmö could then play out the extension quarter and secure a final spot.
It's empty now, I don't know what to say. It was a strange match, it wasn't our best match, says Blåvitt's team captain Gustav Svensson to TV4 after the match.
Equalized late
Malmö looked set to easily reach their second consecutive cup final. This after leading 2–0 at halftime, following two goals by Isaac Kiese Thelin.
But with 20 minutes left of the semifinal, Blåvitt's Max Fenger reduced the score with a header. A quarter later, it was equalized when Kholbeinn Thórdarson was next to score with a header.
We should have killed the match in the second half, then I don't know what happens. I don't know what we're doing, says Pontus Jansson.
In the cup final, Malmö will face Häcken, who earlier on Sunday won their semifinal against IFK Norrköping.
