Things are not going well for Linköping in the SHL. The team is second to last in the table, but a possible turnaround seemed within reach after two straight wins against HV71 and Örebro.
However, Malmö put a stop to that on Tuesday - emphatically.
Before the halfway point of the game, the home team had gone 6-0 up, and Linköping’s Linus Hultström was also given a match penalty late in the first period.
The final score was 8-2, with Oliwer Kaski and Carl Persson each scoring two goals for Malmö.
Tuesday’s second match was also a real goal fest. Rögle won 5-4 away against Frölunda after Linus Sandin scored two goals for Rögle.
