Counted per household and month, it is about 38 kronor.
It may sound like a small amount with 38 kronor per month, but it becomes a whole food basket per year for a pensioner or a family with children. Then it is not a small sum. The landlord has not been allowed to charge so much money, says Lovisa Prodenius, lawyer at the Tenants' Association, to Hem&Hyra.
Previously, tenants paid extra for fiber and cable TV in addition to the monthly rent. For more than a year ago, an agreement was reached to include fiber in the rent, which was thus increased, while the fee for cable TV continued to be charged separately. According to the Tenants' Association, it is this fee that has been too high.
