The man had laid new floors, repainted, installed a new wardrobe and fitted bathroom cabinets with lighting in his rental apartment, writes Hem and Hyra.
The real estate company Heimstaden believes that the renovation is substandard and points to several defects: The floors lacked skirting boards and had cracks, the repainting of doors and window frames was sloppily done, the wardrobe was incorrectly installed and the bathroom cabinet had an insecure electrical installation.
The former tenant, who did not respond to the summons, is now sentenced by Malmö District Court to pay the entire cost of restoring the apartment. He must also pay the real estate company's legal fees.
