It has been just under 16 months for Arnór Sigurdsson at MFF. In 2026, he has played in only four games and now the two parties are parting ways. In a press release, the club says that the 27-year-old is being sold to Greek club Kalamata FC.
"We have been clear that Malmö FF is facing a sporting strategic change of direction, where the squad will generally become both younger and smaller. With that in mind and based on the career stage that Arnór is in and how much playing time he has had here with us, we agree that this is the best solution," says sports director Philip Berglund.
This weekend, the Swedish league restarts after the World Cup break. Malmö starts away against Degerfors on Saturday.
