The top three teams in the Swedish women's championship will qualify for the European Games. The top teams Häcken and Hammarby have a big lead, and the gold medal battle will be decided between them.
Around third place it has been more exciting, but now Malmö FF has a firm grip on it.
On Sunday, the team beat Rosengård 1-0. Larkin Russell gave the home team the lead early in the second half, which was the only goal of the match.
The attendance figure for the derby, 8,003, was the season's best in the Swedish women's league.
"It means a lot. I wish we had it every game," says Mia Persson.
Earlier in the day, the biggest contender for a Euro spot, AIK, lost to Djurgården 1-2. Malmö FF in third place is now five points behind fourth-place AIK, and two points further behind Kristianstad in fifth place.
