The big club Malmö FF has won only three of nine matches in the Allsvenskan and most recently lost at home to Västerås SK this weekend.
Now the club has fired head coach Miguel Angel Ramirez.
"During the spring, we have been able to observe a lack of sporting performance and results as a team and we have not succeeded in developing our players individually according to our goals," says chairman Zlatko Rihter on the club's website.
Last season, Malmö fired Henrik Rydström at the end of September. At that time, the club finished sixth in the Allsvenskan.
This year, Spaniard Miguel Angel Ramirez was appointed after a careful recruitment process, but the 41-year-old oversaw only nine Allsvenskan matches.
The longest a Malmö coach has stayed with the team was four seasons during the 2000s.
Malmö FF has begun the process of finding a new head coach. In Saturday's match against Halmstad, the last before the World Cup break, the team will be led by Guillermo Molins and Mario Chavez.
The Skåne club is twelfth in the Allsvenskan after nine rounds.
