Malmö FF’s Andrej Djuric suspended for rest of season after headbutting Hammarby’s Nahir Besara

Malmö FF's Andrej Djuric headbutted Hammarby's Nahir Besara and was sent off. The Swedish Football Association's disciplinary committee has now announced that the MFF defender will be suspended for the rest of the season.

The disciplinary committee considers the offense “serious” and suspends Djuric for two more matches in addition to the mandatory one.

“I can only say sorry to my teammates and the fans. I take the loss (1–2) on myself,” Djuric said after the match, according to Aftonbladet.
