Malmö took the lead in the third minute after a fine finish by Hlin Eiriksdottir. During the first half, the away team added four more goals, and at halftime Malmö led 5–0.
In the 76th minute, Älvali Lindström scored her second goal of the match to make it 6–0. Lindström was signed by Malmö from Uppsala in July.
Lindström is one of several players who left Uppsala during the summer. The club is bottom of the women's Swedish league and is under financial pressure.
We want to be able to complete the season, of course, that is our biggest priority. What we are working on in parallel is the elite licence and we have no definitive information to give yet, says chairwoman Linda Zillén about Uppsala's position at half-time.
