Emotions were already running high before puck drop.
During the warm-up, Malmö returnee Emil Sylvegård clashed with Rögle's Tinus Luc Koblar. The incident ended with Sylvegård knocking Koblar to the ice.
I'm not like him and gossip in the media about what people say out there, Sylvegård told TV4 Play.
Sylvegård returned to Malmö at the end of October and has signed a short-term contract with the club.
Once the match got underway, Malmö took control and dominated.
Carl Persson broke the deadlock in the second period before Robin Hanzl extended the lead in the third.
Near the end of the match, Norwegian Petter Vesterheim sealed the 3–0 win with an empty-net goal.
