The medal hopeful Jonna Malmgren will miss the European Championship in wrestling in Bratislava in April.
Malmgren has been injured during the winter and does not want to risk aggravating the injury.
"After discussions with the national team coaches Sofia Mattsson and Johanna Mattsson, the decision was made to withdraw from the European Championship, as she is not yet in full match training. Participating in the European Championship could lead to an unnecessary setback. Instead, she is focusing fully on the World Championship in the autumn", the association writes in a press release.
Malmgren was the only Swede at the Olympic Games in Paris last year and was eliminated in the quarterfinals. In October, she became the first Swede in history to take gold in the U23 World Championship.
Elvira Ersson, 19, will instead be included in the 72-kilo class. Ersson took bronze at the Junior World Championship last autumn.
On the men's side, the team is completed with Alexander Johansson, 22, in the 82-kilo class.
The European Championship in Bratislava will take place on 7-13 April. Seven Swedish wrestlers have already been selected for the championship.
