Sead Haksabanovic, 25 years old, is moving back to the Swedish top flight.
Malmö FF are buying the midfielder from Scottish Celtic and have signed a four-year contract.
"It's clearly great to come here and sign for a club like Malmö FF, for me Malmö is the biggest in Sweden and in the Nordic countries. We've had a good dialogue and when MFF drew up their plans for me, it clicked directly between us", says the Montenegrin international according to a press release.
Haksabanovic was born in Hyltebruk and made his Swedish top flight debut for Halmstad at just 15 years old.
From there, he was bought by West Ham in 2017, only to be loaned out to Norrköping in 2019. The following year, Norrköping bought the midfielder, who scored 13 goals in 65 matches during his time in Östergötland.
In 2021, he moved to Russian Rubin Kazan, from where he was loaned out to Djurgården when the war started.
After that, it was Celtic for the midfielder.
"Sead is a very skilled player who can play in many offensive positions. He's had a tough time lately and is now very keen to play for us and show what he can do. Despite his relatively young age, he has international experience of playing at the highest level from many different countries and leagues", says Malmö's sports director Daniel Andersson.
Sead Haksabanovic will join Malmö FF next week.
