Malin Haawind's novel "The one who follows a star does not turn around" has been voted to the prize Book of the Year.

The winner is chosen by the members of Bonniers Bokklubbars and over 30,000 readers have voted this year. The second most reader votes got "Hjortronmyren" by Ulrika Lagerlöf and in third place is "Väninnorna på Nordiska kompaniet" by Ruth Kvarnström-Jones.

"All three prize winners are gripping historical novels that put women's perspectives at the center", says Petra Nuhma, marketing manager at Bonniers Bokklubbar, in a press release.

The prize Book of the Year, which was established by Bonnier book clubs, is this year awarded for the tenth year in a row and it is the readers themselves who vote for the winner.
