The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is allowing airlines to return to normal flight operations at the 40 major airports that previously had to reduce air traffic.

The FAA decided to reduce air traffic at airports earlier in November during the prolonged shutdown of the US government.

Airlines are allowed to continue with their normal flights starting at 6 a.m. Monday morning, US Eastern Time.
