The fire alarm was raised at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
“It is a fully developed fire,” says Henrik Strindberg, the officer on duty at the rescue service.
The fire has spread throughout the building and the rescue service is now working to ensure that it does not spread further to nearby forest and land.
There were around 48,000 chickens in the building, writes Helsingborgs Dagblad.
No injuries have been reported.
