The Russian state-owned TV company VGTRK has been subjected to an "unprecedented" hacker attack, announces President Vladimir Putin's spokesperson Dmitrij Peskov.
According to the Kremlin, specialists are working to try to determine who carried out the attack on a "critical infrastructure facility", writes Politico.
All VGTRK's online broadcasts and internal services stopped functioning on Monday morning but have since been able to be restored, according to the company.
According to the state news site Gazeta, a hacker group with ties to Ukraine is behind the attack.
