"It is an old gambling club where illegal gambling has been taking place for several years. The goal is to strengthen the preliminary investigation, seize and secure evidence," says Criminal Inspector Gunnar Appelgren to Aftonbladet.
According to Aftonbladet, the task force participated, and a helicopter and drone were also used. Inside the club there are both physical gaming tables and digital games.
Nearly 100 people were inside the club and raids also took place in other places, writes DN .
State Prosecutor Karolina Lindekrantz tells the newspaper that three people have been arrested after searches at addresses in the county in connection with the operation. They are a man in his 30s and two men in their 40s, suspected of serious illegal gambling and serious money laundering.
According to DN's information, the operation is linked to the criminal network environment in Södertälje, but the police do not want to confirm this.
"I can only say that the results of the operation have met our expectations. We have made several seizures and managed to secure relatively large assets," Appelgren tells the newspaper.
It is unclear if anyone was arrested in the raid on the poker club.
