After a straightforward win against Canadian Brooke Henderson in the round of 16, Maja Stark advanced to the quarterfinals on Saturday, local time. But there, she was defeated. Thai Ariya Jutanugarn took control of the game and won with 4/2 after 16 holes played.

Also, Swedish Madelene Sagström advanced to the quarterfinals, where she faced French Celine Boutier. But the match dragged on and was interrupted at dusk. At that point, the two golfers had reached the 17th hole, and it was tied.

The match between Sagström and Boutier will resume on Sunday morning, local time. Later the same day, the semifinals and final will also be played.

Corrected: In an earlier version, the wrong winner was stated in the match between Stark and Jutanugarn.
