After lunch, Stark and Grant began their best-ball match against the USA's Lauren Coughlin and Megan Khang.
A special match for Stark, who has become close friends with Coughlin over the past few years on the LPGA Tour. The two friends took the lead immediately. Coughlin hit the first shot of the hole to within a metre of the flag, but Stark's response was something out of the ordinary.
The 26-year-old's 76-metre wedge bounced twice on the green before the ball dropped into the hole. An eagle that got Europe's afternoon off to a flying start at Bernardus Golf outside 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands.
Stark got a high five from Coughlin after the dream shot. Europe leads 7-5 going into the best-ball matches.
