Stark started the third day of play at the Evian Championship golf major in France brilliantly and after nine holes she was four under par after birdies on the fourth, fifth, seventh and eighth holes, overshadowing the very best in the competition.
The second half became more problematic.
The Swede was given bogeys on the eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth holes and then lost her grip.
She bounced back with a birdie on the fourteenth hole and finished the day with a 69, two under par.
After three days of play, Stark is seven under par overall and tied for 14th place.
Another Swede, Anna Nordqvist, is one shot better than Stark after the third day. Nordqvist shot a 68 on Saturday after four birdies and a bogey and is tied for tenth place, eight under par overall.
Major debutant Kajsa Arwefjäll also went under par (-1) and is four under par overall.
Leading the competition is South Korean Ryu Hae-Ran, who played fantastic golf on Saturday and was recorded at 60 strokes. She is 19 under par overall.
