Maja Stark got a nightmare start on the first round of the major tournament PGA Championship. During the second day in Texas, the fresh US Open winner climbed and was the only Swede to pass the qualifying limit. Now I want to win here too, says the 25-year-old.

Stark went the second round of the PGA Championship in Frisco, Texas, on two strokes under par and is with +1 total shared eleventh before the third round.

Quite stable. We played smart today, says Stark after the round.

It was different during the start of the first round. Then Stark – who won the major tournament US Open in the beginning of June – was five strokes over par after as many holes.

When I got the tough start I thought: "Okay, but I won the US Open recently, so it's okay". But then the competitive devil in me woke up, so now I want to win here too, says Stark after the second round.

However, it is a few strokes up to the absolute top. The Thai Jeeno Thitikul leads on six strokes under par – three strokes before the second-placed Rio Takeda, Japan, and Minjee Lee, Australia.

Stark was the only Swede out of a total of seven starters to pass the qualifying limit (+7).

For Anna Nordqvist (+8), Linn Grant (+8), Madelene Sagström (+9), Ingrid Lindblad (+10), Frida Kinhult (+10) and Linnea Ström (+11) it is finished playing.
