"It was a 'no-brainer' when SVT got in touch," says The Sounds' singer in a press release.
"Of course I wanted to put my own touch on the song, but at the same time to retain what makes it a true classic," she continues.
Janne Lucas came in second place in the 1980 Melodifestivalen with the song "Växeln hallå," written by Lasse Holm and Gert Lengstrand.
The Melodifestivalen Hall of Fame was established in 2020.
"It feels very fun and honorable, of course, and was completely unexpected," says Janne Lucas in the press release about being selected.
