In October, Canadian Premier Tech agreed to continue investing in the professional team if Israel was removed from the team's name.
But now the company announces that it is closing with immediate effect.
"It is not sustainable for us to continue as a sponsor," writes Premier Tech in a press release, due to the many protests that have taken place against the team during the summer and autumn races.
During the Tour of Spain there were almost daily protests and in the Giro dell'Emilia the team was suspended for safety reasons.
