With over 80 percent of the votes counted, Tisza has received 137 of the 199 seats in the Hungarian parliament.

Now it looks like Magyar has actually managed to break through Fidesz's dominance, says Sara Svensson, associate professor of political science at Halmstad University.

The result could mean that Tisza gets a supermajority - two-thirds in parliament - which could open the way, for example, to constitutional amendments.

Viktor Orbán's 16-year rule is ending, which will clearly affect Hungary, according to Svensson.

Firstly, the great propaganda that used to exist disappears. The state has had an enormously pervasive propaganda for 16 years.

The mood in the EU will probably improve.

- There will immediately be an improved relationship with Europe, from day one, says Sara Svensson.

Then I believe there is a good chance of a fairly immediate positive impact on corruption.
