The Swedish center-back star retired from the national team last fall, but her active career continues in full force at German club Bayern Munich.
And in parallel, she now has another assignment, she reveals. As a scout for the Bayern men's team, with a particular focus on South America.
"A year ago I got an email from a guy at the club who I didn't know. But apparently it was Bayern Munich's chief scout who asked if I was interested in starting to work for the scouting department," Eriksson says on Viaplay's broadcast.
It is clear, says the 32-year-old, that they want to utilize the players' qualities even off the field.
"You want to take advantage of their knowledge and keep it in the club. So I was very honored and happy."
