Former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro's next appearance in a U.S. court has been postponed.

The March 17 date has now been changed to March 26, according to court documents. Prosecutors in New York cite "scheduling and logistical" reasons without specifying.

Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, have been in custody in the United States since the couple was abducted by American military personnel in Caracas on January 3. A few days later, they appeared before a judge for the first time and pleaded not guilty to charges including drug trafficking.
