France's President Emmanuel Macron is urging European companies to pause their investments in the USA as a consequence of the American tariffs against the EU, which were announced on Wednesday.
What kind of message would it send if large European players invest billions in the American economy at the same time as they strike against us, says Macron at a meeting with representatives of industries affected by the tariffs.
We must have collective solidarity, says Macron.
Macron further believes that the EU should not hesitate in its response to the American tariffs.
Earlier on Thursday, a spokesperson for the French government stated that the country is pushing for the EU to take action against American tech companies as well as the service sector.
