After a fierce debate – where even the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer intervened – it is now clear: there will be no Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters in the stands in the away match against Aston Villa in the European League.

Maccabi Tel Aviv announces that they decline tickets and refer to security reasons, according to a statement on the Israeli club's website.

British police have previously recommended that Aston Villa prevent away supporters from coming to Villa Park in Birmingham on November 6.

A recommendation that has created debate in the United Kingdom and been criticized by Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

”We do not tolerate antisemitism on our streets”, Starmer wrote on X.
