"Now I am entering my existential era," the artist says in a press release.
The album "The afterparty" is Lykke Li's sixth and will be released on May 8. It was recorded in Stockholm with a 17-piece string orchestra.
The press release describes the arrangements as maximalist, with flute and "apocalyptic bongo drums."
This summer and fall, Lykke Li will perform with Robyn and Wolf Alice, and she will also perform at the Coachella festival in the US this spring.
