The French fashion house Hermès is going against the negative trend that many companies in the luxury and fashion sector have shown recently. The company's sales rose by almost 18 percent during the fourth quarter, significantly better than market expectations, which were at a revenue increase of 11 percent.
The company's figures now mean that it is outperforming both LVMH and Gucci's owner, the French Kering, both of which have reported worse results than expected.
The company's employees are not going empty-handed either, the company announces that it will pay out a bonus of 4,500 euros to all 25,000 employees.
