Swedish new start: The national team has gathered for the first time since November. The season begins with two national team matches. After Luxembourg, Northern Ireland awaits at Strawberry arena on Tuesday.

Rookies: The trio Besfort Zeneli, Benjamin Nygren and lightning-fast Melker Widell are the talents seen by the national team management and may get to make their first national team appearances.

Recalls: Kristoffer Nordfeldt, Viktor Gyökeres, Hugo Larsson and Hugo Bolin. Lucas Bergvall is out due to a cold and will miss Saturday's match, but is available for Tuesday's home match against Northern Ireland.

Not selected: Several familiar names, such as Emil Forsberg, Mattias Svanberg, Jens Cajuste, Emil Krafth and Ludwig Augustinsson. Dejan Kulusevski is missing due to injury.

VM qualification: Kicks off around Europe in the coming days, but since Sweden was drawn into a four-team group with Kosovo, Slovenia and Switzerland, the qualification for Sweden does not begin until September.

Gets to start: Jon Dahl Tomasson announced during the week that Robin Olsen is back in goal.
